How This All Started
It started the way most good things do — with a cup of coffee we probably didn't need and a book we couldn't put down.
We're a family of readers. The kind who bring books to restaurants, who argue about whether audiobooks "count" (they do), and who measure weekends by how many chapters we got through. Our house always smells like coffee — the good kind, freshly ground, brewed a little too strong.
We believe every book deserves the right coffee. A thriller needs something bold. A romance calls for something sweet. And a quiet literary novel? That's a slow pour-over kind of afternoon.
And then there's KitKat — our cat, our reading companion, and the unofficial editor-in-chief of this entire operation. She has opinions about everything. She'll sit on whatever book you're reading (always the one you just got to the good part of), knock your coffee if you're not paying enough attention, and purr so loudly during quiet reading time that you can't help but smile.
KitKat doesn't care about your TBR list. She cares about lap availability and whether the sun is hitting the reading chair at the right angle. Honestly, she's got the right priorities.
So why did we start this blog?
Because we kept pairing books with coffee for ourselves and thought — why not share this? Every time we'd finish a novel, we'd talk about what made it click. The mood. The flavors.
